The Olde World Quilt Shoppe opened in April of 2008. In the fall of 2009, we were awarded a top ten quilt shop award by Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler Magazine. Our unique shoppe is known for its warm, inviting interior and gorgeous fabric selection. We are a full service quilt shoppe carrying books, patterns and approximately 3500 bolts of fabric from leading manufacturers such as Moda, Andover, Diamond Textiles, Marcus Brothers, Maywood Studios and many more. We have a large selection of civil war reproduction, flannel, brushed cotton and woven fabrics, as well as a diverse selection of hand dyed wools.

War Horse Quilt Mission

Friday, a group of volunteers gathered at the shoppe for a sewing day to benefit the War Horse Quilt Mission. Since February this year, it has been Cindy B's personal mission to recruit quilts to be donated to her stepson's Brigade upon their return from Kuwait in June and July. She is just about to her goal of 100 quilts!

A big thank you to Kathy, Debbie, Marilyn, Susan, and Bobbie for helping Cindy meet her goal.
Here is Kathy's quilt top finished.
We used a string quilt method to piece the tops.
A fast, fun, no fuss way to put together a quilt top and bust a stash!
Interested in the technique?
You will find the tutorial for this quilt here.
A big thank you to all those who have donated materials, quilt tops and completed quilts to the cause.
