The Olde World Quilt Shoppe opened in April of 2008. In the fall of 2009, we were awarded a top ten quilt shop award by Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler Magazine. Our unique shoppe is known for its warm, inviting interior and gorgeous fabric selection. We are a full service quilt shoppe carrying books, patterns and bolts of fabric from leading manufacturers such as Moda, Andover, Diamond Textiles, Marcus Brothers, Maywood Studios and many more. We have a large selection of civil war reproduction, flannel, brushed cotton and woven fabrics, as well as a diverse selection of hand dyed wools.

New Class Scheduled!

Jan Kimbro is teaching at the shoppe on Nov. 14th and 15th.
On Nov. 14th, she will be teaching Feed Dogs Up Machine Quilting from 9am-4pm.
In this class you will be learning to quilt with your feed dogs up using your walking foot – much, much more than just stitch-in-the-ditch!!!! You’ll be amazed at the many techniques you can use to machine quilt with your feed dogs up. You will learn how to prepare and layer your quilt for machine quilting, how to mark designs on your quilt, how and when to use stencils, use decorative stitches for quilting, and much more. Join us for a fun-filled day!

On Nov. 15th, she will be teaching Feed Dogs Down Machine Quilting from 9am-4pm.
In this class you will learn free motion techniques for quilting on your domestic machine with the feed dogs down. You will learn to straight stitch, follow a design drawn on our quilt, use a marked grid as the framework for quilting designs, and free motion quilting without marking. Join us for this class to build your skills in free motion machine quilting!

Both classed are $47 each and a 1 hour break will be taken for lunch.
Come by, call or email us to sign up as space is limited.

While you are there, take a look at the newest sample to hang in the shoppe...
Lin's version, and it is a beautiful version, of Kathy Cardiff's,
'Seeds of Thanks.'
The patterns should arrive at the shoppe early this week.
Kits will be available in the future.
